Week of May 31-June 4, 2021
Language Arts - This week we will review letters A-Z. We will listen to books and play games that help us identify and match upper and lowercase letters. We will have discussions about our feelings and relationships with our friends as we say goodbye to our school year and get ready for summer. Please remember to read to your child every day!
Math – We will review the numbers 0-20 by sight and by counting that many with a variety of manipulatives and games. The various counting, one-to-one correspondence, number recognition, patterning, geometric and measurement activities we have done this year can all be reinforced at home throughout the summer.
Dates and Reminders:
- I will be sending home your child’s portfolio later this week. This includes various art projects and writing samples done throughout the school year, the green “My First School Book” (4-5 yr. olds only) and their flash drive with downloaded pictures and videos I’ve taken throughout the school year. Check the backpack for these items.
- Friday, June 4 – Last day of preschool! Walking field trip to Keystone Park from 9:00am- 10:30am. Dress in bearcat sweats and make sure your child has a water bottle and is wearing sunscreen if needed! This is a regular full day of school.
