Week of March 8-12, 2021
Language Arts – This week we will focus on letter “Kk”. We will learn how to write it, the sound it makes, and find letter Kk in our names and in words around our classroom. We will read fiction and non-fiction books about kangaroos and kittens. We will continue to identify rhyming words, count syllables, identify upper and lower-case letters and write our names. As we continue to discuss the season of Lent and hear bible stories about Jesus, we will discuss what kindness means how we can show kindness to others.
Math – We will cut out four triangles and arrange them into a kite/rhombus shape. We will play a game that allows us to work on counting and recognizing numbers 1-20 and then find keys to open corresponding locks. We will use various shaped keys and die cut kites to count and pattern.
