•  STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math

    The St. Luke STEM program will provide active investigations where students apply the process of scientific inquiry and engineering design to develop science reasoning. Why STEM? Research has shown that students need to develop skills in thinking, reasoning, creativity and teamwork in order to be competitive in the 21st century workforce. STEM lessons focus on:
    * asking questions and defining problems
    * brainstorming, planning and carrying out investigations
    * working with a team to collaborate ideas
    * developing and using models
    * using mathematical thinking to analyze and interpret data
    * designing solutions
    * engaging in argument from evidence
    * AND having FUN!!
